I have some very sad news to report today. Today I had to put down my cat Gideon. He was only 7 months old. Somehow he contracted a rare kind of cat cancer that slowly dwindled away his bone marrow. This lowered his immunity, causing him to be susceptible to all kinds of diseases. He would have never been healthy for more than a day or two at a time. It also caused him not be able to drink water even when he wanted to, thus hurting his kidneys. For days he would spend minutes just standing over his water bowl wanting water, but never being able to drink it. He also was not able to eat properly, causing him to lose weight drastically till you could feel his vertebrae on his spinal column. He got so bad that you could even see his rib cages protruding from his sides. Gideon was full of love. All he ever wanted out of life was love and a lap to sit on. I still remember last Christmas when my family and I got Gideon. Most cats would have wanted to immediately clime up the Christmas tree, or attack the ornaments; not Gideon. All he wanted was to either curl up near the fire in the fireplace, or sit on a lap. He was a kind and gentle cat that never once nipped, bit, or scratched anyone. Even when he was in pain, and I had to give him daily Intravenous liquids, so that he would stay hydrated. He never once flinched from the needle. Even up until the time when the doctor had to give him the shot to make him go to “sleep” he just looked up at me with his big beautiful eyes and purred until he went to sleep. He will be sorely missed. I, for one, will miss him forever. Gideon be at peace!

Yesterday, as you know, was the fourth of July. As per usual it dominated, except for one small little hitch, IT RAINED! That sucked. The day started off good enough, had breakfast with the family, no rain. Washed the cars to Rob Zombie, which is actually fun if you have a decent enough car to wash and your music is pissing off the neighbors, still no rain. Watched Roger Federer defeat Andy Roddick and win the Wimbledon Championship, looked like rain, but still no rain. Barbecued with family, no rain, and the food was great if I do say so myself (I am an awesome barbecuer). Then it came time for fireworks, and yep, you guessed it, RAIN! Not just rain, thunderstorms and big ass bolts of lightening. That was not cool, but I made up for it, I decided to watch Lord of the Rings: Return of the King! That made up for everything. I love that movie. Wizards rule! I went to bed happy and smashed, just the way I like to end my days! On a side note, so far over the weekend, me and my family have gotten along, with no fights or miss understandings, which always seem to end up being blown up way out of proportion, especially between me and my dad; ain’t life grand? So that is something to definately be thankful for! Anyway my 4^th of July holiday weekend has gone great, thus far, I hope that yours (the readers) went just as well (or better)! Until next time:

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!!! YES THAT IS RIGHT! I AM BACK, and boy has it ever been a hella while since I last posted and a whole shitload of things have gone down. First things first. I will now try my best to update this site on a more regular basis. I know I have said this before, but life gets busy. All of my readers should definitely understand that one. Ok, now on to what has been happening in my life since I have posted last. I finally graduated college. PARTY!!!!!!!! I graduated Summa Cum Laude (With Highest Praise). That was awesome, not that many people really cared, but it’s all good. So with college finally over, I needed to find some things to do. My parents said I should look for a job, naturally I laughed my ass off and said “That’s ok!” Next I found an awesome flag football league to play in. Some people think that flag football is for pussies. THEY HAVE NEVER PLAYED! In my first 4 weeks I have witnessed 5 broken noses, a dislocated hip, two dislocated knees, and a couple of twisted ankles. This sport is definitely competitive. I also needed a sport that I could play a couple times a week and not have to worry about my safety, so I decided to give softball a chance. Now softball is sort of a quote unquote watered down version of baseball, but with my hamstring the way it is, and after the beating I take on Sunday’s from flag football it’s a welcome relief and is actually relaxing and fun. I have also taken weightlifting up again, along with biking. I got a little over my ideal weight this winter, but no fear, in two weeks I have already lost fifteen pounds and am once again close to my ideal weight. That is basically what I have been up to the past few months. Now, what will good ol’ AVK be up to over the summer. Well, I plan to get in better shape, see a lot of movies, ask out a lot of chicks, and hopefully get a yes from this one girl that I will definitely keep you posted on throughout the summer. I am going to take questions, comments, and requests for different kinds of posts. Anything you want to know about my life, just ask. I am also going to build a new website that will link to this Xanga and back. I am taking suggestions on the content of it. This is truly going to be one hell of a summer and I want to share everything with you, my readers. Until the next post:
